25th May 2011: Leicestershire first team played Hertfordshire in the quarter finals of the Minor Counties Championship and drew 8 - 8 in a tense match. Unfortunately Leics lost on board count. The team sheet can be seen here.

The Midlands intercounty championships are controlled by the Midlands Counties Chess Union (MCCU).  The best-performing teams in each section qualify for the ECF national championships; the M-numbers in these tables denote those teams that have qualified.
